Picked this camera up for about $45 from a chap on another forum. Everything is wonderful - I quickly picked up how to use the Exposure value scale and now I'm walking around going "This scene is a 12", "those trees are probably a 9". What a simple and effective way to convey light metering (having never done anything with a meter besides the one inside my dslr).

Ran a roll of 400TX through and developed them pushed by 1/2 stop in D-76 (was worried the meter was off, or that I wouldn't be able to judge the camera based on underexposed negs - so I erred on the side of caution and pushed by 1/2) - scans with an epson v500 at 3200dpi/24bit - most got a slight USM and some had levels, not much else. Oh and resized to 300dpi/3600x2400ish. Oh and don't mind the dust and crap all over the negs - this was a test roll - so after I devved they just hung in the breeze to dry.

Cool camera. It'll be a joy to carry around with you. I love carrying my Canonet around with me in the truck. Hope to see more & welcome to the forum.

I shot my 7s for the first time a week ago (FP4+ instead of TX. I actually thought I was this thread's owner) and the image quality is overwhelming. Will keep the little Ricoh 500G as my main pocket camera though, the 7s seems far more "serious" ... Nice pictures, BTW.
