I finally got around to replacing the light seals on my recently-acquired Olympus XA. So, I needed to test that the camera really was light-tight. Coincidently, the new Epping railway station (my closest local station) was opening on the weekend - so I thought it was the perfect excuse to run a roll of cheap expired Kodak HD 200 through the camera and take some photos:

It looks as if my first attempt at fixing up light seals actually worked. (However, the Konica Auto S3 I did the same thing to still has, um, issues. But I think I've worked out what's needed.)

BTW, Jon Goodman's light seal kit was just the ticket for this.

I partiularly like the shot of the woman with the yelalow bag, and the ticket machine image.

Congrats on getting a classic back into good order. on the light seal kit - are you refferring to it being good for the Xa or S2? or both?

Both. The problem with the S3 was mine - a failure to read Jon's instructions (for the S2, but they give guidance for the S3) and a failure of attention to detail. So, with just a little more work I hope to have that working correctly as well.

Thanks for the comments on the pics.
