I finally got my film back from the processors. It took two weeks.

The last four frames had light leaks. Is there some trick to getting the film wound up correctly?

OR is is possible my camera has light leaks?

Do you think the leaks are a result of light getting in as you open the back to remove the film (and find it loosely spooled) or before you open it? I´ve not got a Welta 120, but when using my Kowa MF camera I practice removing the film in subdued lighting, and as soon as possible after the roll is finished.

Back to the sun etc.

I advance the film just till I feel it leave the feed spool, open the back and hold the tail while rolling it up the rest of the way so the film pulls in snug to the spool.

I'm puzzled by the clearly formed small circle images in the first picture; I'm sure it would be worth your while checking the camera with lights in a darkened room looking for bellows leaks, spurious lens reflections or whatever as well as the possible film spooling issues already mentioned.

The second picture seems to show a score line as if something is scratching the film as it is wound. Lovely composition by the way, and it shows the potential - you have a great camera when it's sorted out ;) .
I haven't done much transparency work recently, but years ago I had a Voigtlander Avus with a 'non-brand' roll-film back which scratched the film but took gorgeous 6x9 transparencies :) .

I'm not sure you don't have a couple of issues here. You really need to use some b/w and send it to another place or develop it yourself. Do the light test as Chippy suggested first.

Thanks all.

Thanks all.

Thanks for the replys, everyone.

The leaks were in the last half of the roll, so it was probably either me taking it out, or the folks who processed it. I'm having the camera checked out now, and it does not appear that the camera has the leaks.
