I had hoped to have a whole roll of wonderful sharp photos. Didn't happen, I had or two focused ones but some look like the developing went bad. Wouldn't be the first time for this place, sometimes you get a few nice prints from a roll while on the same roll you get prints with golfball size grain. It's weird.

Here is one of the sharp ones from the Rollei using that Kodak 400UC film. I'm going to try my old standby tomorrow, Reala 100.

Michael, this photo is quite all right and I don't see how there can be great differences on the same roll. It could be a problem at the printing stage. Have you checked the negatives?

No I haven't, thanks I'll try that. I bet you are right, it has to be when they print them. It shows up on the CD also. You'll get 3 or 4 nice colored grainless prints and then further on they get really ugly.

Strange if it's the printing stage yet shows up on the CD...I thought the CDs were scanned from the negatives?

I'd be interested in seeing one of the shots that went bad, might offer some clues as to what went wrong.

Check out the neg, usually when I get massive grain results back from the minilab it's because the shot was underexposed.

Could be under-exposure; though I don't know how that should happen in daylight. Best bet would be to scan the negatives again. John made a valid point.
