It's wholly underwhelming, but just thought I'd share frame #1 of my first rangefinder.. the mighty Canonet QL17! I was obviously pointing the thing around the general area that I opened the box, and this is what came out. I can actually start posting some stuff that belongs on an RF forum! Wide open on some HP5 @ 400..

😀

i'd crop out that stand on the right.
maybe increase the contrast around the feet just a bit and ad a touch of blur around the door....ahhhh, just kidding!!

feels great to play with a rangefinder nd get some prints back eh?

i still remember my first time...with a good camera...;(

For some odd reason I like it. Very mundane, yet very "artsy" (fartsy?). I think the simplicity of it is its strongest point. I have no experience with this camera (will soon!) so I don't know if the softness is normal or not.

Not bad, Mr. Chris, err...Mr. f/stopblues...

I think the softness is mostly due to me handholding at 1/15 or 1/30.. can't remember which. Fun camera! I've been taking it places I never brought cameras. Bars, theaters, work.. It should prove to make some unique photos.

I noticed you said from First RF LOL 😉

Welcome to the world of not only hunting pictures but also GAS attacks for more Canonets 😀

The QL17 started me off on RFs.
