First try at studio photography with M8

We had a studio shoot for dummies organized by our local RF chapter in Singapore.

Here's some shots with my M8 and Canon 50 f1.5 LTM. Hope u like it. Who would have thought a manual camera system with an old Canon lens can do decently well in a studio environment with some help from Lightroom?

Nice. I like the last best. Funny you mention the M8 being manual; I usually put my auto everything cameras in manual to use studio type strobes.

Nice shots.
I've been pretty happy with my M8.2 in a studio setting, used mainly with a Zeiss Planar and Jupiter 3.
The only real drawback - and it can be substantial at times - is the relatively small number of shots you can take before the buffer fills up.

Manual meaning having to focus slowly without AF confirmation. Takes a bit of time to shoot each shots.

The "Japanese Sonnar" Canon f1.5/50 is a MUST lens for anyone who's shooting LTM/M Rangefinder anymore, this lens is also the perfect lens for shooting women. (I use mine outdoors quite often)

There's great color and detail in your shots, I like them very much 🙂
