Took a 2nd roll with the Kenko FE adapter, this time Longs had no problems, other than finding it hard to determine where to cut the negatives, but they did OK.

Curious if anyone knows the theory about these for exposure, for example, this adapter bought from a fellow RFF'er has it's own aperture setting, and sits on my SLR's 49mm filter threads. It also came with a 40.5, so in theory could hang off my 40/2 Rokkor, but I feel its too heavy.
Anyways, the instructions say to set the camera lens wide open, and and adjust the adapter's aperture for exposure, why is this? I did try closing down a stop or two on my 50mm and opening up the adapter and it seemed OK.
Also, seems to work best with close up objects to have the camera lens on infinity focus, even when object is 1" away. Why is this?
Are there any animals or beings that see things normally with fisheye view? perhaps fish? If so, I might want to make a series for that species. For those of you who frequent Japanese bookstores, there is already someone taking fisheye pictures of dogs, but even in side views of the dogs, they extend the nose, making one wonder if a new breed has arrived...
