There used to be an Ebay seller who sold copies of FISON and I think FOOKH at a reasonable price.

Does anyone have their details?

I wrote the seller yesterday suggesting he also produce a SOOGZ.
If he decides to, I'll let RFFers know

Shac, Thanks for this, if I order it now it might get stuck in the Suez canal!

(There seem to be a few vendors with the same thing on Ebay all at roughly the same price)

Is that even a worthwhile price?
I was looking for a FISON this past Sunday in the local classifieds and bought one (original) for the same price as the ebay copy.

Can't say I have checked the market prior to buying mine, as what I paid just seemed reasonable, but if I order the ebay one from China, I would have to pay a flat fee for custom handling as well as VAT, which would make my price twice as high as advertised.

Does an original FISON really cost more than that?

PS: I'm in EU and don't know how tax/VAT is collected in US and UK.

Direct conversion of $31.80 to GBP makes it £23.18 at the mo.

Red Dot Cameras in London has FISONs in stock for £40 and £49 (all listed as "Exc+", so I don't know why some are cheaper).

MW Classic has one in stock which they are claiming is "clean, light use" (it really isn't that clean) for £27.

Personally, I'm not sure it's worth dealing with the issues of unknown quality plus the uncertainties of Chinese shipping times just to save a couple of quid. But if we could get a FOOKH for the same price... sign me up.

Agree. A FOOKH at a reasonable price could be interesting.

FYI - The quality of the one I bought was just fine. At the time it was about 1/2 of the used going prices

I only asked in the first place because I have just lost a FISON in the harbour. Not wanting to risk the black ones that I have I was looking for a cheap alternative...

have both of mentioned copies. actually these are quiet fine pieces. caps are fit on it as with original ones. matt black structured interior, material (aluminium i suppose) and fit is right for the price. since i got it, my originals are safe at home. i’d say go for it. original accessories are expensive and prone to be misplaced or lost (don’t ask me. my FIKUS at the bottom of the pond etc).
