Five Photos from a Roll of 24

So I went to develop my GSN photos today and only got 5 shots out of it, the rest were black. Now I had a couple of wires ripped from over turning the lens and then I ripped them all when I fixed the shutter. Would that be the culprit of the blank photos? The shutter still opened for all the shots.

Did you fix the wires after you ripped them?

nope I didn't, but since it could run without batteries, i figured I would continue.

Without batteries, it only works in automatic mode at 1/500th of a second, in flash mode at 1/30th of a second, and in bulb for however long you hold down the shutter release.

yeah so i thought it would be okay, but the second half of the roll was blank.
