Fix the dent on top plate corner?

With all due respect to Mssers Kaplan & Blackwell, would you drive a car with a big fat dent on the bumper? I wouldn't. If you throw down for a CLA, have him punch out the dent or fill it with Bondo. My 2 Rupees.

It depends on the car (and what you consider a "fat" dent). I know of many old cars with original paint - and some original dents. The owners know that only an idiot would repair /repaint a "survivor".

I have seen beautiful original 60 year old motorcycles sold to tyros who had to restore them because the paint didn't shine as bright as new Harley. They destroyed both the historical and monetary value of the bike.

If I were buying - I would buy the used one with a dent rather than the one with bondo!
