I mainly shoot primes, during a recent road trip I used two cameras both with only one lens: my father's Rolleiflex (10 rolls), my M7 with a 50 cron (3 rolls).
Opps, I was forgetting a couple of Impossible packs, again a fixed lens.
It worked out well.

PS: I usually keep the same lens on the M7 for ...a few months. Than it happens I like to change my "visual experience" and I use a different lens for other few weeks, even months...
Now I'm in a 50 mood

I use primes and fixed focal length cameras mostly. I like that I know what will be in my photo before I bring the camera to my eye... based on years and years of using the same focal lengths. However, when I go to someplace I'm not familiar with, I do occasionally use a zoom... or for long tele I use a zoom.

I am the oddball here. I only shoot with zooms and I don't change lenses. Lately I have a Sony 16-35mm on a Sony A7r. A Sony 24-240mm on a Sony A7rii and a Panasonic 100-400mm on a Panasonic LX8. Of course, I shoot mostly outdoors and only for my own pleasure. I like having virtually any focal length available, anytime.
