To test your time in Kodak general fixer, do you let the film sit until it clears or do you gently sway the film until it clears?

Yes, the film clears faster with motion. I get about a 2 minute difference between them.

Yes, agitation matters (and as you'd agitate when you're processing film, you should agitate), but it doesn't make anything like as much difference if you do it this way, so you can quickly and easily see the clearing time:

Shooter of Film...
I will agitate the reels and I normally fix for about ten minutes...agitaion does speed up the process...
