Fixing vignetting on R-D1

Is there a formula on how to fix vignetting on wide lenses? From what I've read, vignetting is affected by aperture, as well as focus. I am noticing some vignetting with my 25mm Biogon, and just a little more with the 35mm Biogon. I use Adobe Lightroom 2 to manage my RAW files, so I don't have the handy lens feature of Epson RAW. The only method I know is by sight, but that is not all that accurate. Any advice?

Epson RAW is available as a free download from the Epson site, so why not give it a go? I use it to correct the vignetting from a Leitz 28mm f6.3 Hektor and it's remarkably effective.

agree -- Epson RAW is quick and does an excellent job. if the vignetting is bothering you that much, it's an easy fix.

If you want to stay in LR, how about set up a test shot like an evenly lit wall, adjust the vignetting to your liking in LR, and then save the settings as a preset for one-click fix of any other pictures using that lens.

Personally I would stick with adjusting by eye, but then again I like vignetting...

I use the vingnetting panel in LR. I just eyeball it on one shot, and then copy that setting and paste it onto similar shots from that session-- then adjust as needed.

Why don't you try Conerfix, which is free.
All you need to do is create some profiles for the specific lens you are using at the aperture you intend on using most frequently and you'll get rid of the vingnetting and any purple haze that remains assuming you're using an ir cut filter.
