Flakey Meter Problem with M6 Classic

The meter in my early M6 classic has gotten flakey. The problem is that it sometimes works...and sometimes it doesn't. It's not operator error (lens cap is off, shutter is cocked and not set to B, EV w/in range of ISO, aperture and shutter speed settings). I've checked the battery and the contacts on the rear door. Before I send it back to NJ or to DAG or Sherry, has anyone had an M6 with an intermittent meter problem like this? Any word on the cause and/or the solution?

Yes! I had what sounds o be the exact same problem. I sent it ti Dag for a complete cla. 1 or 2 internal contacts were loose. But the camera had not been cla'd since 1993 and was due for a total cla anyway. I sent it to Dag because he doesn't automaticaly decide that an entire new meter circuit is required: the easy and expensive fix.
