Flash recommendations?

(I know this has been discussed before, but I can't find a relevant discussion from the past.)

I have a Vivitar flash that is way too big to carry around all the time. I need a smaller flash that can be hand-held, connected to my M6/Kiev-Contax/M3 via cable. Is there one that can cover wide (35 or 28mm) too?
