If you have a Leica IIIc or earlier Barnack Leica and would ocasionally like to be able to use flash with it you might consider one of the Geiss Kontakt gizmos. There is one for sale now on eBay at Item number 7572235857 (I have no interest in this listing).

There is also a replacement bottom plate for the IIIc with a flash synchronizing connector and a matching flashgun. I think it is timed for flashbulbs only and it is about the size of a modern autowinder.
Not very practical today.
