my x20 flash wont fire on either of my fujis but the bigger x-42 fires fine on both.
what am i missing?
set on forced flash...tried at various shutter speeds/apertures...set it with the q button and set it at the menu also.
any ideas?

I don't have the Fuji external flash. I just checked my xe1.. In q menu when u rotate thru the flash options, there is a weird icon that looks like an external flash. I would suspect on the xe1 it defaults to the pop up unless u tell it to use the external..

dropped the flash off at the local shop where i bought it...they are sending it to fuji for repair...i asked them to add a note to fuji telling them that this is the second unit to die on me and that i would prefer a credit or my $$ back...doubtful, i know, but can't hurt to ask.

the local shop said they sold 40 of these and only 2 came back...and now this one would be the 3rd.
2 of the 3 were from me...they likely think it's me and not the flash

FYI My X10 toasted my lomography ringflash. It could be possible that the X20 is toasting the fuji flashes?

the flash on it's own works...it charges up and test fires...it shows the blinking lightening signal on the camera...it just will not fire!
would not fire on the store demo camera and a new flash worked on my camera.
