Flashes for Bessa R

Hello, I hope this is not a rehash of subjects already covered. I have just acquired a Bessa-R, and my Rollei E15B and EB 134 flashes will not work with it, either from the shoe or the XP jack. Is this a problem with Rollei flashes generally, or do I have a problem camera.? I don't use a flash much, I just want something I can use in a casual setting with friends. Is there a small flash unit that anyone can recommend with my Bessa-R?

i would think that most any flash with a hot foot or pc connection should work.

i'm not enough of a techie to offer much more than that though.

Back Alley's correct. Any flash w/a single pin hot shoe or pc connection will work. I'm using a Sunpak 383. Works great in auto or manual mode. Good luck and welcome. Dan
