Hi everyone:
I just got my R-D1 and I'm loving it so far! I was curious if it was possible to flash a R-D1 with a R-D1x firmware? I see that the R-D1x can read up to 32gb cards ? Any experience with this at all?
Thanks in advance.

I thought the R-D1x was just the R-D1s software but with a bigger non flippable screen

The R-D1x also excepts bigger capacity Flash-cards yes.
But that's a hardware upgrade.
R-D1 to R-D1s software works, no problem.
R-D1(s) to R-D1x, I actually don't know.

MR Flibble, are we certain that it's a hardware upgrade with something like this?

R-D1/R-D1s will not be compatible with SDHC cards (modification of the circuit is required) according to the "semi-official" statement from Epson: http://proselection.weblogs.jp/epson_proselection_blog/2009/02/post-615d.html (in Japanese)
