Flatten scans

Hey guys,

I need some help/advise here.
My scanner doesn't like 'bend' negative strips... What happens is that the side curl together creating one light band on one of the sides when scanned...

Anybode has some tips to flatten them?

1. What scanner do you have?
2. Place the negatives strips in a book with another heavy book on top of that for a day.

With my 135 and 120 films, I found that the longer you let them hang and dry, the flatter they become. Drying is usually complete in 1-2 hours but I found if they hang for 4-5-6 hours, they are completely flat. I've seen them curve as they dry, then flatten.

Before, I used to put them in the plastic negative strip holders and flatten them for a day or two under heavy books. Now I just let them hang to dry for 4-6 hours and they're flatter than flattening them under books. I use large, wide, black metal office binder clips as they hold the wider 120 film flatter on each end compared to regular film hanging clips (and cheaper too).
