The Gubas book has Barringer material, but it is not to be confused with the Barringer / Small book. The Gubas book is fabulous. I only found a few errors and omissions. The Flektometer 500mm Fernobjektiv lens is easy enough to find, usually with an M42 or Exakta mount. These mounts unscrew easily and reveal the Flektometer thread. That is how I bought my Fernobjektiv Flektometer lens. I suspect the Panflex mount is also an adapter, but I have never seen one for sale. Wes, you are in a position to confirm that the Panflex mount is removable. I do have Flektometer lenses with both Visoflex I and Visoflex II factory adapters.

Elmar, the 18cm Sonnar lenses on last two of the second version Flektoskops I listed are 3114525 and 3273056. Curious that your 17832 Flektoskop has 3114372 lens while Flektoskop 17823 has 3114737. Flektoskop 15484 has 30cm Sonnar 3114737.

My 50cm Fernobjektiv is in original Penflex mount (external bayonet). No adapter. It is T coated and the serial number (3412655) dates to a 1948 batch all supposedly for the Flektoscop.

I have one CZJ-Fernobjektiv 500/8 T in 42x1 mount, "wrinkled" paint finish, no. 3967729 (thus, made in 1954).
Despite its optical simplicity, I've always found it very effective and relatively light-weight, especially with B/W films (never forgetting to use its yellow filter and the sun shade).
Surely, less bulky than the also fine Pentacon 500/5,6.

Hello,
after a long time, I'm glad to say that the repairman who took care of my CZJ Sonnar 180/2,8 on Flektoskop, Mr. Gianpaolo Ferro of Buttrio, Udine, Italy, repaired its damaged mirror, by mounting in it an original and still like brand-new C. Zeiss Jena spare part he had in his workshop!
Now, it looks like new and the vision through the viewfinder is nice and bright enough.
As time permits, I will try it on the field.
Best wishes,
Enzo
