flickr? (after ms buyout of yahoo)

I wonder what will happen to flickr if this hostile buyout of Yahoo by Microsoft is approved? I know there are other sites, but I must admit that the tagging, sharing, and commenting facilities within flickr are nice and easy to use. My biggest problem with flickr is that I spend too much time looking at other's photos instead of taking/developing my own. 😉

I suspect my pro account on flickr won't be renewed. The real drag will be debating on whether or not to keep the traveling email addy I've had for 12 years!

Unless someone creates a community with better features, I think Flickr will carry on. For what it does its unmatched - useful tools easy to use, large community creating extensions, etc.

I really enjoy flickr. We even have a growing flickr group here in N.C. that meets together to take photos & have a great time. Hope MS leaves it alone.
