flickr + getty = $$ ??

I'm not, but a few friends are averaging $100-300 a month. They're into areas like food photography though - good licensing material as model releases/building releases/etc aren't an issue. They take the photos for themselves - a bit of money is just a bonus.

I get the sense that most of the flickr -> Getty work is closer to micro stock sort of pricing, though that may just be the niches the people I know are working in.

They asked me to join months ago, being an european I didn't want to fill in the exotic complicated US tax papers, so I skipped the invitation. I do not think I would generate sales through it.

I didn't coin this phrase, but it's use has never been more apt than when discussing stock photography today:

"We used to spend hundreds to earn thousands. Now we spend thousands to earn hundreds".

much better off going with Getty straight away. The flicker + Getty is for people that aren't aware they can get a better deal.
