You guys are so good.
Nobody wants to use my b/w film pictures uploaded at 800 pix size with 70 dpi resolution.

I would love to tell you about my war with Flickr that lasted about 4 months beginning last spring involving my State's Attorney General and Yahoo legal about Flickr's copyright abuse and ads. I believe you are seeing the results of my efforts.

The paper work involved was amazing, and so were the number of outright misrepresentations.

It's enough to say that the mess was created when Flickr became all free and gave up Flickr Pro which was originally a fee paid subscription service. This change happened almost two years go.

Use the new option, it's their latest attempt to clean things up.
 
What I do not like about Flickr is how much of it now is given over to porn (talking hard core porn here, not soft core nude shots). Not that I really have an issue with porn - whatever floats your boat, but there is a time and a place for everything and this is not it.

That's funny! I've been on flickr since 2008 and have seen perhaps six or seven nudes there in all this time. I guess I just don't wander in the pornish circles.

I discovered it by accident when searching something or other a year or two back. The search phrase bought up a lot of porn hits. I was curious and looked further and found that there are some Groups dedicated to it - tacky. As I said, nothing against porn really in the right place but I did not think of Flickr as a porn site. Or at least would hate to see it become known for it. Maybe they have cleaned up their act, I do not know as I have not looked recently.
 
There are still ways for someone to take your images from Flickr. One is when you post them here, or anywhere else. Another is they can download the BB Code or HTML link, and paste them into their Web page. Then all they have to do is wipe the backtracking script (urls and such) from the code, and no one knows the wiser.

No matter what you do, it's a crap shoot being able to keep control of your images on the WWW.
