Flo Fox, Photographer Who Overcame Blindness and Paralysis, Dies at 79
She was legally blind and used a motorized wheelchair, but she managed to capture what she called the “ironic reality” of New York City on film.
I'm old with macular degeneration and spinal stenosis. I sometimes get depressed considering I could end up like Ms Fox. But her story shames me. I'm lucky and I hope to keep photographing to the end. This story might be behind a pay wall. If so, I'm sorry.
