I've gotten used to fluid mounting my negs for scanning - gets rid of most scratches and dust, and tends to produce sharper images. I've only worked with the old Leaf LS45, Polaroid 45 Ultra and now the Epson v750 scanners. I like the Epson for 4x5 scanning, but I'm looking for higher res/better scans for 35mm.

So - just curious if anyone is using fluid mount with the Plustek.

<thinking of selling the Polaroid 45 Ultra, have no idea if anyone even wants one of those anymore>

Hi, I am the marketing manager for Plustek US. This question has come up before.

The product manager for the OpticFilm product line told me that she has seen fluid mounted slides scanned in an OpticFilm scanner by using glass mounts.

Personally, I haven't tried it.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm curious to know if using fluid mount made any difference in the scans. It's not necessarily a must have for me.
