My brother is a professional photographer and videographer, does a lot of fly-fishing and takes some nice pictures (and here) on his fishing trips.

I did some fishing as a teenager, ponds with a spinning reel, never caught much, sun fish and catfish, mostly. Always tossed them back, didn't like the smell on my hands after a while and gave it up.
Now I'm into photography, and I came across this guy, while out walking and "caught" him with my Xpan and 45 lens, fly fishing on the Ness River in Inverness, Scotland.

Coincidentally, I was up there last week. I saw a fly class practicing at the visitor center at the north park entrance. Must have been about a dozen out there.
Nice to see the north central PA folks about. Are you familiar with the history of the game lands up there in Elk and Potter, etc. or more specifically John MacFarlane Phillips?

Oh, yeah, just what I am waiting for if I can just get to the mountains with my friend to photograph. Sigh... Waders, boots, etc. it is only a couple of months til Autumn, maybe I can start another slush fund...
It would be worth a lot to have a single photograph like this one action scene.

Mike, thanks, I wasn't expecting to come upon this guy, just super luck to have the Xpan. Nothing else could have captured this moment as well.

Mattia, thank you for the link, your brother is quite talented! I love the fashion photos as well and of course, the iconic white Volvo (?) I forget which model or year but it is one of my favorites.

And best of all, I get to plan a weekend trip to the mountains in October with my bride of 44 years! And yes, she encourages me to bring along the flyrod....

Here are 2 maps of the State Forest. Just about any stream here holds trout. Most of the bigger streams are stocked but do have wild trout. In a 10 mile radius form my home in Galeton there are over 15 class A wild trout streams.

Most of the roads in the State Forest areas are very good dirt roads. You can also camp in most places within the State Forest with a free permit.

Sorry, been away. He was a progenitor of what became the PA Game Commission -in turn leading to the establishment and advancement of the state's Game Lands. All of this was the first of its kind and was the model for other states as well as other nations. All of that started up near you. In fact, there is a monument regarding this in SGL25 near Glen Hazel.
