FM2 with smooth shutter blades?

I recently purchased a cheap/user/well used FM2 from ebay and it arrived today. The shutter blades are smooth instead of that textured titanium that I always see in photos.. were there FM2s made with smooth blades? Replacement shutter maybe?

It seems to work fine and I'm gonna put a test roll through it, but it just seems odd based on what i've been reading about the FM2.

Indeed, you are correct! That is a later FM2n which has the aluminum shutter blades, as opposed to the earlier titanium blades which had the honeycomb texture to them. Excellent cameras, all of them. Enjoy!

Supposedly it's a regular FM2, not an N, but it's all good. As long as it works 😀

Actually, seems later production FM2 models had aluminum shutter blades:
