I have a Canonet Ql-17 G-III that I'd like to put back into working order. It's good except for decayed foam seals. Last year I had the information on where to get them, and lost it. Can anyone remind me?

I think it might be Jon Goodman who has a store on Ebay. I just ordered as set for an FR-II I just bought. He doesn't have those in his store, but he said he had a set he'd send me. $9.00 shipping included. jgood21967@aol.com I hope this helps. GF

I have an older kit from Jon and I've been able to do several cameras from it...
Depending on what camera I should be able to do three or four more...
He now sells kits for specific cameras...
Interslice light seal kits...look for "Interslice" on ebay...

You can also make your own seals easily enough. You just need a sheet of 1.5 mm thick adhesive backed foam. $5 will buy enough to reseal a dozen or so cameras. The QL17 is also the easiest camera to install news seals, the only difficult part is getting the gunk from the old seals cleaned out. You can use lacquer thinner or acetone (nail polish remover, check you gf's makeup bag) and q-tips to clean the residue and glue format the old seals.

I would second the recommendation of Interslice's seal kits! The pieces are cut to fit and he even includes a tool to help with the icky job of getting the remains of the old seals out.

As I mentioned, I ordered my FR-II kit from Jon using PayPal yesterday morning and got an email from him last night saying it would be in the mail today. Now if it weren't for the holiday this week I'd probably have it by the end of the week. GF
