Hello!
Im not sure is this the right forum but I have a pretty general question about lens or rangefinder focus misalingnment.
It would be great if someone can tell me where is my problem on the lens or the rangefinder: when I focus my R-D1 with a Jupiter-3 lens for example from a 6th floor window to the park below me i get an unrealisticly low 7m distance on the lens barrel sign - this happens when I move on from infinity to the focus spot. Now the strange part: when I focus from the 1m side towards the to spot I wish to focus it gives me a more realistic 10-20m distance. This way I get a way more in focus shot but still not perfect.
With my M-rokkor 40 the side which I start the focusing does not matter it gives the same distance on the lens barrel but still the pictures are not totally sharp.
With both lenses I get sharp pictures in the close and middle distance. Strange for me atlest.. Thanks a lot!
