Focus Shift

That is probably why DSLRs dont have too many fast lenses faster than 1.8...

Some have 1.4 and Canon has 50mm and 85mm at f1.2...

The focus point was the wheel, but it's easier to look at the writing in my opinion.. and they shall be at the same distance (anyway you have to look at the wheel if you want to have the exact focus point)

So for example he focused to the wheel at f1.0 and shot at 1.0 and the focus wasnt there on the result? If so, this is contradiction to what is said in the second link, which says focus and shoot at the same aperture.

He focused to the wheel at f1.0 and shot at 1.0 and the focus was there, but soft because of the lens itself, then closed to 2,0 and 2,8 and the focus moved back; at 5,6 the depth of field recovered the situation.

One more thing.. since he used a RF it does not make sense the concept of focusing at a certain f/stop: you can only focus using the RF and it does not really care whether the lens is at a specific f/stop or even if it is there at all :)
