This set of images was taken at 150 cm away from primary central focal subject (red Cheez-It box) to M8 image sensor, but otherwise is similar to my 35/1.4 lux and rebuilt Jupiter-8 focus shift lens tests.

My conclusion examining at 100 and 200% crops is that my Summilux is optimized for around F 2.0, which will help me know, especially at min distance (0.7m) that I can focus ~1-2 cm deeper and retain sharp focus that amount in front. Much easier than my pre-rebuilt J8 which back focused and I had to focus backwards in the air at min distance!

This is probably as perfect a lens as we will see in this millenium, IMHO 😀

thank you for doing a proper job on this test. i will get out my cereal boxes and try mine when the m8 returns from its holiday. even without testing, i remain a big fan of this lens.

Ok, so who put the "110 cm" tag on the cheese-it box and the camera focus at 150 cm ? What does it say about this "test"? ?
