Similar to tests done yesterday with the 35 pre-asph lux 35//1.4.
Camera was Leica M8, distance 110 cm. From f2 to f8.
Conclusion - lens is definitely optimized for f2. At 110 cm. I'm further out than min. distance but gives a good indication of how aperture changes affect DOF window at these settings, and at this distance.

Thank you for the detailed explanation on your blog!
That means our M8's are synchronized. I always go for close-up and wide-open.
I wonder if the RF mechanism has Wi-Fi?

Yeah, I think most M8's have good flanges
Yeah, I think most M8's have good flanges
DAG never needs my M bodies (incl. RD1 and M6) to perfectly ensure my lenses are adjusted right. I've heard about folks sending their bodies and lens to Leica or somewhere and felt it was necessary to ship it all back get the system working together, but I think the M8s are still so new, that it's unlikely for one to be out of spec. at least the flange portion and sensor mount.
There was that one guy a few months back with focus issues on multiple lenses on his M8. Wonder how that got resolved?
