focusing distance of 28/3.5 color skopar

I noticed that when use 28/3.5 color skopar on my R4M, it seems impossible to focus beyond a certain distance, approximately 50 meters. If I put an object in distance at the center focus patch of the view finder, then gradually change focus distance from 1.2 meter to infinite, at no point the two images of the object completely merge into one.

I don't seem have this issue with other lenses.

Is this normal?

Mine focuses properly on my Bessa R. Maybe an issue with the M adapter?

I think Bill is on the right track- my 28 3.5 C-S focuses with great precision on my M8. I'm using a Milich adapter, FWIW.

hmm, just tried another adaptor that works properly on my nokton 50/1.5. Still see the same.
