Again, welcome to the RFF. It's nice to hear that you were able to put two fine classics to such good use.

They are definitely two peas out of the same pod. Both use counter-rotating prisms for their coupled range finder focusing. Did they attract much attention?

FWIW, I've heard mixed reports re: Mr. Kreckel as a dealer, but I had a fine experience having him CLA my Agfa Super Speedex.

Certo6 is a gentlemen by the name of Juergen Kreckel, a gunsmith from Pennsylvania. he is also a terrific folding camera restorer.

I am new to the list and introduced myself a little earlier, mentioning that I shoot mostly with old Contax gear. I've been snooping around the site a little and landed here because another camera that I'm fond of using is a Zeiss Super-Ikonta. I have read with interest the comments regarding Juergen Kreckel's work; mine is working fine but could no doubt benefit from a little attention (tried to talk Henry Scherer into taking it on, but no dice). I am always amazed at the images that come out of this antique! I sure am grateful to have found this site, it blends very nicely into my main interest in cameras. My thanks to the moderators and members.

Another East Coast classic camera repairguy who has an excellent reputation is Frank Marshman of Camera Wiz in Harrisonburg, VA (camerawiz(AT)msn.com).

Excellent service from Frank Marshman, as furcafe suggested... He's an expert on Fuji repair, and did a great job on my GS645S for a very modest charge.
