The datasheet for Arista Edu Ultra 100 list HC110 as a 'not recommended ' developer. I found one data set showing Dilution B as 3:30. Does anyone have any experience or insights into this? Is it not recommneded due to the short dev time or are there other reasons (grain/speed/contrast/etc..) ? Before I started my affair with diafine I was using Dilution H at longer times for some pushes. This isn't pushed - shot it at ISO 100.

I have some D-76 but its not mixed up yet. Need a free gallon container first. 110 was my old pre-diafine dev. I think the affair with Diafine is over. Flat, mushy, large soft grain without a lot of definition. And the worst of it is that it all looks alike after a while. I'm going to have to relearn how to agitate.

Try it with Dilution G (119:1) and triple the times for B.
I use a semi-stand development, 15 sec agitation every 3 min.
Make sure to use at least 3ml of syrup.
