Foma Retropan 320 second test. Ilford DD-X

Hi to all Rff guys!

Recently I posted something about my first test of Foma Retropan. It was not so good because I used Adox FX39 to develop it. This time I used Ilford Ilfotec DD-X and things went better. Grain was a bit less and more compact... so I could better appreciate the nice tonal range of this film. Planning to develop with other chemicals to see if it could be used more on 35 mm format.

I get that you want to promote your blog, but you could just as well continue on the previous thread, and further publish your findings on the forum.

I haven't worked out why anyone would want to use this film. I know it's supposed to have a retro feel but I don't see HCB's photos looking grainy and flat like this? Maybe film was like this in 1900 or something but the negs were massive so it wouldn't have looked like this either. Hmm

Someone please educate me 🙂

Yep.... I could have done that way... but thought it's a different developer. So it would be easier for interested people to find it.

Regarding promoting my blog.... it would have been equally promoved "upping" the previous post.... IMO. 🙂

Personally.... I "don't" want to use this film..... but I like to test myself cameras/films/developers.... and share my humble experiences with other people. As analog forums and blogs are a great knoweledge resurce for me, and I learn much reading these.... 🙂
