I've done some search in the archives and found out this film [aka arista edu ultra] can be developed in Diafine with satisfactory results but didn't see any suggestions for exposure index. Digital truth and the Diafine box lists EI200 for sheet film but no data for 35mm. I'd appreciate EI suggestions as well as comments from people who have used this film.

Thanks!

Joseph

I've been getting silver flecks on the surface of my AEU 100 in Diafine. I don't think my fixer is shot yet but I could have killed it or exhausted it early I guess - there's a lot more silver in underexposed 120 than properly exposed 35mm. Tonally it's ok, and fine up to about 400, usable a little faster if you're willing to live with lack of shadows, but the silver flecks on the surface bug me.

I have been shooting the Arista.EDU Ultra 100 in both 120 and 35mm and developing it in Diafine. I push the ASA by 1 stop (which I promptly lose by using a filter - - yellow or orange). I find that in my pseudo densitometric testing, it does not have the range of stops that other films do processed in Diafine, but it is acceptable.

I have been shooting my way through a 25-roll pack of both sizes and I am almost finished, maybe 10 rolls total left. I would not be disappointed if this were the only ASA 100 film available for me to use, but since there are others, I will keep looking.

I have some low-res negative scans of some 35mm tests I was doing over the weekend if you are interested in seeing them.

I just processed a roll of Arista.EDU Ultra 100 in Diafine. I shot it at EI200 under soft boxes and the tones look good (1/500 @ f11.) Here is one shot on 120 film in my Rollei...
