The "Spamerican Tour" trailer was giving out free food made with SPAM, the canned pork mystery-meat product, at the 2016 Three Rivers Festival. They even had "Sir Can-A-Lot" the SPAM Knight to attract visitors, like this family, to the free SPAM.
The Three Rivers Festival takes place for 10 days in July at Headwaters Park in downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Just be sure you never look at the nutritional facts on the side of the can. I live in the south and some of the traditional southern “delicacies” are probably worse. Mountain oysters, fatback, hog jowls, chitterlings and souse meat are thing you probably don’t want to eat either. At least you don’t want to know what you’re eating if for some reason you get some in your mouth. Let’s just say they aren’t on the list of Kosher foods. 🤮

When I was a young kid the ice cream man drove a tricycle Harley with a freezer box on the back with dry ice to keep it cold. A small ice cream cup, brown cow, ice cream sandwich , fudge bar or popsicle was 5 cents. They went up to 6 cents in the late 50’s about the same time cokes went from 5 to 6 cents and that extra penny was tough to come by.

They're thankfully still all over London in the summer. Sitting in Victoria Park with a proper ice cream on a sunny Sunday afternoon is one of life's small joys.

When I was in high school, I had a summer job driving a small open-air Jeep that had been converted to an ice cream truck. I had a small chest freezer in the back loaded with dry ice and ice cream. I lived in a small town outside of Dallas back then. I was like a super hero to the kids whenever I showed up. Those were good times. When I was a young kid the ice cream man drove a tricycle Harley with a freezer box on the back with dry ice to keep it cold. I don’t have any food truck images in my library but do have fond recollections of the silver canteen trucks that would arrrive during our lunch and break times in the 70’s and 80’s.

On the other hand, if "those things" came from free-range, organically raised critters, I'd be much more inclined to eat them before I'd ever eat the mystery hot dogs from China that I see in the supermarket. Well, I’m not sure you know what these “things” are😁. They’re legitimate foods but I don’t think you’ll find them in the organic section of the grocery store. On the other hand, if "those things" came from free-range, organically raised critters, I'd be much more inclined to eat them before I'd ever eat the mystery hot dogs from China that I see in the supermarket. Actually some of these do reside in the meat coolers in the local stores where I live. And if you’ve eaten sausages stuffed in natural casings then you’re close to Chitterlings. Thinking about it, people must have been starving to eat some of the “things” they do. I’m referencing “things” as parts of animals I’m not sure I could eat even if I were starving. I think I’d rather eat my own foot first.

I’m going to have to get out to photograph the many taco food trucks in my area.
