Say hello to my Kiev II !

It's the camera that Fedka sent me in substitution of the Kiev 2a I ordered before Christmas, and had light leakages problems. They tried ti fix it, but without success, so sent me this, saying it's well working and tested with film... I'm crossing my fingers, touching iron, etc etc... ;-)

Nice looking camera Franco!!! I love the early Kievs... If you don't mind me asking, what year was it made? I know they were produced for export, but I haven't seen many IIs with a Cyrilic & English front plate. I hope it turns out to be a great shooter!

I have a Kiev ll and it's by far the quietest Kiev

I have a Kiev ll and it's by far the quietest Kiev

I have a Contax ll and lll (1937), a Kiev ll (1953) and llla (1957), two Kiev 4a's type 1 (1968 and 1972), and a Kiev 4a type 2 modified to look lie a black Contax. The Kiev 2 bought from Fedka is by far the quietest camera of them all. I can hardly hear the shutter. Sometimes I actually wonder if its working. Great camera.
