Thanks for the Info the price for the Hassy Back looks interesting 50 MP for only 14.299$ the Hassy Stainless Steel has the same price as the S2 more resolution and bigger sensor ouch. Maybe Leica should rethink its pricing. Not that I can currently afford any of these.

But as they say hope springs eternal 🙂

Good move for Hasselblad. They do promotions from time to time but could indicate a new products coming soon or just could be moving inventory. Some speculation is it's due to pressure from the D800 but I don't think so personally.

I own one of their new backs for my 500 series and wouldn't trade it for the same $ value in Nikon D800 bodies and lenses. The 16 bit capture and large sensor coupled with the Zeiss glass produces a distinctly different image than 35mm 14 bit capture.

Yes there are a few. They're all cropped. I'm always on the lookout for a reasonably-priced (hah) CFV-16, which is at least square, as Victor intended.

I will eventually buy a used CFV16 Hasselblad Back. It make sense for me, as I have the entire Hassy system, and digital would breathe even more life into these old components.

That was actually a pretty good price, I think. However, it's also more than I am willing to pay (for now!).
