Frank,

Here's an example of my beat-up Hektor 135/4.5.

Film was Efke KB100, shot wide open, as far as I remember...

Very nice, Denis. I was going to ask members for 135mm f4.5 Hektor examoles. From what I see here, I know I'm going to enjoy it. It has both nice in focus (sharp) areas and out of focus areas (soft). I guess this is the signature of this vintage lens? StuartR was kind enough (the people on this site rock!) to offer his 135 finder, so I'll be set. Has anyone taken candid or posed people pictures with this lens? I'd be interested in seeing other examples. Thanks!

Hektar 13.5cm F4.5 with the factory installed adapter for M-Mount. Wide-Opn

I need to scan some more in for the Tele Gallery.

Another B&W Hektor

Another B&W Hektor

Here's another one - a test shot, to see the RF accuracy. Came out quite nice and sharp where it was supposed to be...

And another - a portrait

And another - a portrait

And a quick shot of my wife - hope she doesn't see I've posted this in public - she doesn't like how she "turned out" here :)

Handheld, she was moving, and the speed was 1/125, I think... Wide open (or thereabouts).

Hey Frank,

The Hector is good for action shots too. I sometimes go to the local surfing spot and shoot from the pier. Here is a couple of samples.

2nd sample: Most of these are shot at mid-day in bright sun, so exposure is around f8 or f11at 1/500. (400 speed print film)

Paul: WOW! Nothing better than seeing a fifty year old lens get some real Action shots!

Denis, I gotta start shooting more B&W!

And its a Monkey!

Woah ! I bet the Hektor designers didn't have such kind of photography in mind for their creation !!! :D

And btw, I'm starting to think about a 'This forum is CAT FRIENDLY' banner on top of the main page ...
