Got lucky and picked up the Zuiko Digital 150mm F2 for a price I could not refuse. Guessed it wouldn't AF too well with the adaptor (my experience with other 4/3 lenses) so I was hoping that the MF would be easy. I was very pleasantly surprised as it is very easy to achieve accurate focus. No doubt a combination of all that light coming in and a very smooth and finely adjusting feel to the MF.

It is, of course, very sharp. Only down side is that it weighs a ton. Great fun shooting inside like its a fast 50 :)

Wide open. Focused on eye.

A glorious lens! My finger has hovered on the buy button many a time...

Enjoy it and use it with spirit!

Oh bugger John, the grip fooled me! I thought your EM-5 was an EM-1...! I was also going to ask how the AF works as I have an E-5 and the 150mm.

Godfrey, you'll just have to buy the damn lens already and tell us all about it coupled to the EM-1, you know, for the greater good and all. Your experience could then tip the balance either way regarding me going to u4/3 with the EM-1 but keeping the ZD lenses I already have... :D :D :D

My finger still hovers, but I know the AF will be acceptable for my use.

I rented one of these lenses once, same time I owned the pre-SWD 50-200, E-1 and E-5. It's focusing performed just fine on the E-1 and E-5, on par with the 50-200. I have the 50-200 again and it works very nicely with the E-M1 AF ... I'm sure the 150 will be the same.

Don't rely on me. The E-M1 does work extremely well with all the ZD lenses, I'm using it with the 11-22, 50-200, EC-14, and 35 Macro already.
