For the Luddites

I'm a Luddite. And damn proud of it.

Thanks for the link. My company (computer services outsourcing provider) bans cameras in the workplace, except on certain days, when they encourage employees to make photos promoting workplace "spirit".

I'll suggest it as an "ACS Spirit Day".

Thanks again, bmattock.

I'm not a luddite, and not ashamed of it, cursedly.

Aren't luddites supposed to be against The Work of the Devil aka "The Internets"? How will they ever access such link without going against all that their self-inflicted adjective prescribes? By cursing a lot, I suppose 😀

Oh, and thanks for the link, btw.

I've heard that Amish commodities traders maintain their adherance to keep technology (broadband, electric service, etc.) out of their house, by installing it in their basement instead. 🙄

Hmmm, I suppose most lomographers and Holga users (with honourable exceptions) have never heard of APUG and have no awareness of film use outside their own circle of friends. Or am I getting cynical in my old(-ish) age ?

APUG is a fun place (not). As a necessary nod to technology, they say it is ok to scan a negative to put it online. But I made the mistake of uploading an image that was a scanned color negative that I had (gasp) desaturated to B&W because I thought it looked better that way.

After the hateful emails and PM's I got after that, including one guy who kept sending me emails to inform me that he had reported me to the mods (repeatedly, over the same photo), I said to hell with it and stopped logging in. As far as I am concerned, APUG really are luddites.
