There are 10 questions with brief answers by Kaltner, so it is not time consuming to go over this interview.

The first question/reply is interesting!
1. Oliver Kaltner, you’ve worked for Microsoft, Sony, Sky, EA, Nike and Leica. Brands are your world. How important are brands for digitalisation?
BRANDS ARE HUGELY IMPORTANT in a digitalised world because they act as benchmarks and value propositions. But we are seeing a huge decline in brand loyalty. That means brands now have to reflect, re-adjust and reload on a daily basis in order to maintain their relevance globally.

Interesting read, thanks Raid for this link. I admit when I first heard of Leica making a cooperation with a cell-phones company I was a little horrified, at least perplexed.
But thinking about it later and seeing how much cell-phones are and will be used in photography I realized it was a smart move. And when we met Oliver Kaltner in Wetzlar hie explanation that the technical challenges brought by cell-phones to the optical engineers will for sure have a positive reflection on the optical systems of our cameras.
