Formula 1 shot on 4x5

Is it still a waist level finder if it extends from the waist to the neck? :D

Anyway, I loved the photos, something different.

Quality scmality.

To me they invoked a variety of feelings that to me is photography.

The photographer could have mounted any number of newer lenses on it to improve the "Quality" but my guess is he didn't.

A great set of action photographs capturing the F1 race.
The camera looks to me, a bigger format, 5x7?
One thing is certain, these shots would be vastly different from all those other shooters!
I thought the grain caused by "actual rain and mist" and an "inferior" lens.
Some lenses are more grainy.(I am right and Erwin Puts has actually proved that). My Pentax Takumar were more grainy than my Summicron.
Same roll, almost identical exposure in studio!
Getting sharp pix has become so everyday, I adore these!

It's a 4x5 Graflex R.B. The R.B. stands for revolving back, I have one that I'm refurbishing. I also have a 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 that I shoot with using a 6x9 roll back. He was probably using a rollback also and 120 roll film rather than actual 4x5 sheet film. Lots of variations but it's simply a SLR with usually a ~135mm 4.5 or 5.6 lens. Top shutter speed is 1/1000th second. So except for the size nothing really difficult about shooting fast cars.
