Looking for some Fortia SP or SP50...it appears that Fuji is not producing any this year and with the Cherry Blossom Festival coming up next month, I would love to pick up a couple of rolls...

Anyone happen to have any?

Hi Dave, Fujifilm first announced Fortia SP on 25th January 2005, and sales of the first limited batch started on 25th February 2005 (original announcement in Japanese here), and from memory they released it around the same time each year in limited batches up until last year. I haven't heard anything yet this year, but I've got my fingers crossed for 25th February!

Well, the 25th has been and gone, and there's still no news on whether Fuji Fortia SP will be available this year. I guess that means that funky Fortia SP is no more...

Japan Exposures (formerly Megaperls) used to carry it and ship quickly to the US. In fact, I have a number of 35mm and 120 rolls left from last year. It even came in a special package with really nifty film carrying bags thrown in for free. You might give Japan Exposures a ping and see what the status of it is this year. They do not have it listed on their site.

Thanks for link... No Fortia left here either. I have a queue of people literally begging for it, wish I bought it all when it was reduced for expiration. Will be a sad cherry blossom this year ;)

Ektar seems to be doing well in Japan BTW.

It's just a memory now, but I still have 35mm and 120 rolls left from the last batch. I will be shooting them at the New York Botanical Garden Orchid Show, opening tomorrow for members, after I shoot the Kodachrome I have stored for the occasion.

Sad to hear, though I suppose they might be able to bring it back in the future. I'll have to ration my remaining hoard of 10 rolls or so.

We have Ektachrome 64 though ;)

Let's keep fingers crossed for Fortia. They may still do for after cherry blossoms, like autumn leaves which is also big for colour photography in Japan.
