Powerful... Your thoughts?
"Even as the images tell us, in no uncertain terms, that this is what it looks like to grow old, this is the irrefutable truth, we also learn: This is what endurance looks like."

This topic was posted earlier. Nonetheless -- I like the first portrait and don't like the others. The only fascination is seeing people age. But as photos, they're IMHO dull.

I've seen this and it is impressive. I also have portraits of a friend/women taken over fifty-six years, sorry only one; not four women. I've asked her to let them loose, but alas, she says NO (I'll leave that to my trustees). They make a dynamic story just like your thread does.
I'm surprised they could get all four to give permission.
EDIT: not dull, but then again I love portraits of any women.

I have seen this before but it is still interesting. The dedication to photograph these sisters over this entire period is commendable. The change over the years is what makes this work as a series. Looking at image individually is not what is intended here.
I know that the writer of the article had to come up with something but in my opinion it missed. For me this would be a series to look through in silence, with my own thoughts about mortality.
But most important, it is a very unique record for these families.

I obviously missed the earlier post. IMO, as individual photos, each is just okay or yes, even dull, but when viewed as a series -- which is exactly the point of the exhibition -- I think it is kind of humbling to see the sisters grow older year after year after year.

To Light & Love ...
Even though i did see this earlier on RFf
I thoroughly Enjoyed the series again
watching 40 years thru 4 sisters
Did not find the Series 'Dull'
Rather refreshing... Not staged nor pretentious
The play of eyes, the intermingling of touch, the frailties in Expression of seeing age change us
The women bonding differently with each other thru the years
Well done !

I think it's a wonderful concept and series. Maybe we need a thread for 'Portraits over Time' or similar...it's fascinating to see how people change.
