If I'm not mistaken Pilsner Urquel (sorry PU probably doesn't work here in the states), used to come in the bottle with the metal clasp on top (it also had a rubber gasket)—great for keeping chemistry. 🙂

No problem Jan, this month I'll go to Prague. There are some (plenty) nice places to get to know beers better. So I'll drink one Radegast for you...

I've noticed that the tension levels have been much lower around here the last few days. Threads seem to be mostly RF related, with direct answers to questions posted and a large degree of tolerance to "newbie" questions.

It must be this thread, everyone had a beer, wine, water, or soft drink and relaxed a bit.

Nice to see.

BEER: I enjoyed Pilsner Urguel when it was available in downtown DC during my college days. I used to collect bottles, and being in college never bothered to clean them out before putting them on display. Guinness Stout was the only beer that mold refused to grow in.
 
I missed out on the round last night, but this isn't the first time I cracked one open at 6am. 🙂

For those who prefer wine please allow me to offer some of my home made Primitivo Syrah.

You won't be drinking PU in the U Fleku beerhall in Prague, you'll be carried out feet first after drinking the best (and strongest) dark beer in the world!!! 😀 😀
 
ManGo - very funny. You know very well there is at least one working refrigerator in a London pub these days - it's in the West End somewhere.

Who offerred the single malt? Speak up! I don't know if this helps with the angst, but it sure changes the subject.
 
I'm not sure by now, but I'll either have a Newcastle Brown in my favourite pub or a Becks at the beach club on you all in the evening.
