FORUM RENAME: CEVIL COMPACTS and CLUNKY SLRS

"Clunky" as in onamatopaeic description of the camera's operating cycle,

or

"Clunky", as in not fashionable or stylish; awkward ? (Chunky shoes, clunky purse...)

My 1920's 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 RB Graflex fits both definitions ! :D

My favorite 35mm SLR is still my 1955 Exakta VX II, followed by my Pentax SP-500... most of my film shooting is done with my Leica III and Leitz lenses, but I'm not even thinking about ditching my "clunky" SLRs... not even the Graflex ! ;)

I like Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Format,

I like Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Format,

but "MILF" seems to have a bad connotation on the internet.

"Clunk" sounds like the mirror in one's SLR under standard operation...

I think it's time to get rid of "EVIL" with its negative connotation. How about calling the Digital interchangeable lens compacts "Neo-DSLRs." Most people could figure that out, it's fairly intuitive. Or, "New Age DSLR" isn't too long, and is also descriptive. How about "Compact High-Performance SLR," with "CHiP" as an acronym? That sort of acknowledges the IC chips in electronic cameras.

What to call film SLRs? How about "Film SLRs?"

Or the "Not so Bad Cameras with Interchangeable lenses including using RF lenses so they cannot be Totally EVIL but they still are not at good as Real RF cameras" forum.

I much prefer "Evil SLR" it's got the tongue in cheek humor factor.
my OM's are not "clunky", but from an RF perspective, they are evil
